Message: Been here forever, staple of the community, good food basic groceries and even smoke products. Been coming here for over 15 years! Gets very busy on weekends because of the bars. Make sure to keep in mind that they are busy and popular and are not fast food but good food!

Message: Akasha market is awesome and is definitely a baton rouge legend. Its been around forever and the family that runs it is crazy nice and friendly. Their burger is a monster and famous in baton rouge. The tigerland food scene is growing but this is definitely still the best place for amazing greasy soul pleasing drunk food when the bars close. If you go to LSU, check this place out. Theres even a hidden and semi-secret hookah lounge/ outdoor cafe/ patio thing that overlooks the golf course ponds where they'll set you up with hookah if you're cool and get in good with them.
