Gambino's Bakery Wedding Cakes

Message: Visited recently with my best friend who was testing wedding cake flavors. As soon as we entered someone was upset their order was lost. The bakery handled the situation and a few others in line.. The cake testing was fine. Their butter cake and Chantilly filling was delicious and what we chose! It was also my husband's birthday so I took home a red velvet cake for him. It was so good! They really have some yummy cakes!

Message: It's ok if you like really sweet icing and dessert. I was thinking of getting my wedding cake through them so i went by and grabbed a selection of things today. The "buttercream" icing is made with crisco and sugar, not butter - and it's way, way too sweet. The doberge cake custard was delicious, the cake itself was good - but both were ruined by the overly sweet icing - like, once I scraped the icing off, it was delicious. The cake base is good - very fluffy, moist standard cake, but everything is ruined by being overly sweet. The crisco thing is just a personal preference, i don't like vegetable oil based icings. So they're not bad, but not what I want from a dessert. The staff is very friendly, it's clean, the service is fast, they have a great selection but it's just not my preferred flavor profile.

Message: Picked up the most amazing wedding cake for my niece here and she fell in love with more than just her husband. They were able to make it work on our time frame, they were open to listening to our instructions on what not to add and what to add to the cake, AND I got to be there personally to watch how they did it. Very professional, very polite, and couldn’t suggest a better place to get a wedding cake.. NOTE: They also make some of the best king cakes you’ll fall head over heels for!

Message: Asked them to make the cake from Portal and they ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED! It's one of the best cakes we've ever had, and SPOT ON what we wanted!

Message: Customer service was great! The presentation was clean and everything showcased looked fresh! I simply walked in and purchased a cake for my birthday. It was decorated with writing in under 5 minutes. My birthday cake was a hit. It was super moist and decadent! Can’t wait to stop on by here again to get more desserts.

Message: The motherly ladies working the front desk are friendly and helpful. The King Cakes, devil's food cake, Doberge cake and buttery yellow cake are standouts for me. Conveniently located in the city for cupcakes in a hurry, they have been able to fulfill basic birthday cake requests on short notice.

Message: The bake goods from here are really good. I bought some pastries here for my birthday. They specialize in Italian, French, classic New Orleans cakes, wedding cakes, and handmade fondant pieces. The prices are fair, and if an item is not up to it's normal standard, they will give you extra. The BAKER'S STANDARD. They had these toffee rounds with shaved almond that was have dipped in chocolate. They were smaller than normal, so I got an extra one for free. They were 4 inches (10. 16 cm) in diameter, so the normal sized ones are more than worth in. The best part: the bakery in near a mall, thrift shop, and a park. So get some petit fours and enjoy them at your leisure.
